In 2031, as we celebrate the city’s Bicentennial and the Riverwalk’s golden anniversary, we will continue to be captivated by the Riverwalk’s familiar features and excited by new attractions identified in the The Riverwalk 2031 Master Plan. From West Jefferson Avenue to Martin Avenue, the Naperville Riverwalk will remain one of our most iconic and important cultural, recreational, environmental, and economic development assets. In addition to rigorous maintenance of existing assets, The 2031 Master Plan projects will:

• Maintain and improve river ecology and habitat.
• Complete connectivity gaps within the Riverwalk boundaries.
• Expand every day and programmed capacity.
• Increase visitor safety, accessibility, and hospitality.
• Enhance appearance while maintaining signature characteristics.
• Engage the next generation of Riverwalk advocates and donors.
